If you like to travel independent all across the country, you can use intercity busses from or to every city in Turkey. Most of the local people like to use the intercity bus for longer distances between the cities. Intercity busses are going day and night on different routes and they stop at the bus terminals (Otogar) in every big city as well as in small towns.
